New Scholar Class Activates

On Feb. 26, the Miami Evans Scholars hosted parents, Alumni and WGA Directors at Hueston Woods for New Scholar activation. More than 100 people were in attendance and enjoyed dinner while New Scholars were introduced and given their certificates. All 18 freshmen went active and the class obtained an excellent 3.3 GPA overall. The entire chapter is proud of them on their accomplishments and looks forward to seeing what they achieve over the next few years.

Our chapter hosted Brian Shell from the Evans Scholars Foundation for a formal visit on March 2. Mr. Shell had a great visit and we had a productive house meeting. Our new co-advisor Katie Wilson was in attendance to introduce herself to the Scholars and discuss the experience she will bring to our chapter. We look forward to working with her this semester and beyond. Mr. Shell also congratulated the seniors on their upcoming graduation and, keeping with tradition, gave them their WGA Par Club hats.
