Miami welcomes New Scholar class

On Sunday, April 9, the Miami Evans Scholars hosted the incoming class for New Scholar Day. The day began with New Scholars and their families meeting with the chapter executive board, with parents receiving some important information and getting their questions answered. The New Scholars were then given a tour of the Scholarship House and the university before heading to one-on-one lunches with current Scholars. After lunch, the entire chapter met at Oxford Lanes for a few hours of bowling. To end the day, our chapter, the New Scholars and their parents reconvened at the Evans Scholarship House for a cookout in the yard. We could not have asked for more perfect weather for the day, and everyone had a blast while welcoming the new class.

Apart from New Scholar Day, Miami Scholars recently had an outing at Topgolf. There was a great crowd that made the trip to West Chester, Ohio, for a few hours of golf and fun.

Coming up, the Miami Evans Scholars have two intramural softball teams that look forward to successful seasons.

Also, our Dad's Weekend will be coming up later this month, and we look forward to enjoying a Reds vs. Cubs game and a round of golf at Harbor Links Golf Club.
